NYFW kicked off last week and we all wish we could be in the city. With its crazy and busy calendar filled with incredible (and unexpected) locations, A-Z designers, & dazzling looks, some shows were definitely better than others. I mean, DUH, doesn’t that always happen in fashion? May the best one win.
Now, we all had that one show we absolutely loved that made us die slowly as we refreshed our Instagram feeds. Below are the shows that made us go O.M.G. can I just be in N.Y.C.
Check out the SMUStyle bloggers’ favorite Spring 2016 Collection shows:
Carolina Herrera showed feminine elegance through pink and pastel shades at the Frick Collection on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue. By far one of the most elegant and memorable shows of the week.
Basso played with fun colors to create a collection with a Latin touch that appeals to younger women. “It’s very youthful and vibrant, and it’s all about the cities south of the border—Caracas, Acapulco, Rio,” Basso said.
Delpozo made us all feel like we were in a fairytale world… it was simply magical. The show, which happened just yesterday, was a huge hit.
“I love the idea of an underlying naughtiness with these classic fabrications,” said Zimmermann. The Australian designer’s collection was heavily inspired by “bad behavior” and rebellion yet with a very classy touch.
The young designers created a killer show. The collection revolved around a black, red, and white palette inspired by Spain.

Today marks the last day of NYFW, and we still haven’t had enough.
