What Has SMUStyle Been Up To???

SMUStyle has missed you all dearly!!!

We would give just about anything to be back on campus, but sadly, the quarantine life is our new norm for now. I’ve been in quarantine for two and a half weeks, and I’ve almost lost it several times! So, rather than allow these unprecedented times to stir up your anxiety and self-diagnose yourself with coronavirus, seek happiness and create distraction. There’s only so much homework to do and so many fashion blogs to read, so it’s time to get creative! If you need some ways to stay sane, here is some inspiration from the SMUStylists themselves!

Sofia: Walks around the neighborhood with her mom

We have tips for everyone on how to handle these unprecedented times…

Myriam: Stay active and try to get fresh air outside your backyard for at least 10 minutes a day.

Alexa: Ask your mom or dad to go on a walk. It will make them really happy 🙂

Valentina: Try to go outside at least once a day whether it be a walk or a long drive listening to music.

Chloe: Learn how to cook or bake! It’s such a helpful skill and makes quarantine more entertaining!

Maddie: Make the most of nice weather, get at least 10,000 steps a day when you can! It will help you bounce back from all the extra snacking. Spend time with a family member you usually don’t, maybe start a new hobby with them like walking in your neighborhood or cooking

Gillian: SOCIAL DISTANCE to protect yourself and the rest of the world — there’s no social gathering that’s more important than human lives 🙂

Caroline: Enjoy the little things in life. Cook, walk, listen to music, and spend time with your family.

Nina: Get dressed in normal clothes sometimes!

Avery: Don’t feel like you have to be productive, enjoy this time however you want to!

Ana Paula: Accept the uncertainty and use it to build stronger relationships!

Sofia: Support local businesses & stay in touch with the people you love.
