We’ve Got a Theory

September 22, 2016 by

Last weekend, Emily, Addison and I ventured over to Highland Park Village to check out what was going on over at Theory. I quickly realized that Theory has something for every occasion in your jam-packed life. Who knew that there was a top out there you can wear from an interview to Avenu? These looks are perfect for all you crazy college kids.

img_5173Now that the beloved Boulevard “White Out” has officially passed this season, spice things up in this precious denim dress with everyone’s favorite white tennies! This little number could also get dressed up with a pair of pumps and some statement earrings. I have this exact dress but in shirt form, and love layering different tees and even fitted cashmere sweaters underneath.

This white blouse is so gorgeous and detailed in person, and the silhouette whittles yo waist. The leather skirt helps transitional for fall and keeps it hip. When you think about it, these two pieces are just as easy to throw on for class as your favorite Lulu combo! The skirt is also the definition of day-to-night, just switch out the button down for, say, a lacy camisole number?

img_5137One can never go wrong with the trusty combo of stripes + florals, even though both the top and silk pants are outfit-making pieces on their own. I wish I had this get-up for Parent’s Weekend this weekend!

I never realized how versatile (and not trashy) a bodysuit could be until Emily tried on this little number. My head was swirling with outfit possibilities. The navy accordion-pleat skirt is also major. With the right accessories, you could make this work for a formal, a wedding, or just a good ole G.N.O.!

For those of you poor souls with Thursday night class. . . you thought it wasn’t possible: a true class to Homebar outfit. All you gotta do is switch out your flats for a pair of pumps, preferably of the stacked heel variety. Our beloved off-the-shoulder top of summer has married a sweater and created the perfect look for night, once it gets a little chillier, of course.

I can’t be the only one who thinks this is the ideal daytime look for fall. The lightweight coat is a perfect layer that you can manageably throw in your tote once inside. The cap sleeve cashmere tee underneath is soft and cozy but prevents you from overheating, perfect for fall in Texas. And how could you not love those perfectly distressed crop-kick jeans?!

All looks are currently available at Theory in Highland Park Village, which is offering a 20% discount for SMU students this weekend! unnamedOther stores in HPV are serving up some sweet deals as well, check out the offers below and be sure to drag your parents (and their wallets) by this weekend!
