Tropic of C Debuts in Dallas

February 8, 2019 by

I asked Candice, and yes, apparently it did hurt when she fell from heaven.

JK, didn’t ACTUALLY ask, but Maggie Border’s and I still want to know what Victoria’s Secret really is.

As part of a promotional meet & greet for her new swimwear line, Tropic of C, Candice Swanepoel took a trip to Dallas this week and ended up at Highland Park Village’s upstanding clothing store, Market.

Our wonderful Lauren Fisher got us the invite- and let me tell ya, it was no joke. The store was packed with people who just wanted to get a glimpse and the real-life angel, while also admiring her new swimsuits.

The Tropic of C collection features a range of colors and style that ensure a flattering, stylish fit no matter your body type. So no, you don’t have to look like a VS Angel to wear the suits—I certainly don’t. The quality is impeccable and the price is… eh. About $150 per suit, good? Bad? I guess it’s a personal decision.

However, you may want to rethink spending the extra few bucks on your everyday latte at Starbucks. Our favorites are this cheetah print one piece, this bikini, and the ever-flattering criss-cross piece.

When I talked to Candice– YES, I TALKED TO A VICTORIA’S SECRET ANGEL– she had the softest sweetest, tiniest voice a reminded me of Tinkerbelle. The only connection between me and her is that I’m Tinkerbell too in the sense that I’ll die without attention. Kidding… Anyway, we started discussing the versatility of her collection, how pieces could be worn as swimsuits, of course, but then also as bodysuits. She then let me know that that was her day-to-day look (SAME, lol). I then told her she was glowing and looked fantastic especially after the baby. She thanked me and I think we had a moment. Have not received the photo of the two of us yet, but when I do, my Instagram followers will know.

Either way, the thing to take away is that a Victoria’s Secret Angel actually relates to us mortals, and gets overwhelmed too. If you haven’t checked out her collection yet, I HIGHLY suggest you do, I mean, sb’19 is right around the corner…

TGIF & xoxo
