‘Tis the Flu Season!

Well it’s that time of the year again…FLU SEASON!!!

If any of you are like me, then you’ll be one to assume that this vicious little bug will never bother you. I’m not sure if anyone else’s phone has been buzzing nonstop with constant phone calls and texts from your mother about getting a flu shot, but I know mine has…AND it can be very annoying!

Along with everyone else, I’m currently sitting in Fondy and have found myself sniffling and unable to breathe. Ok, maybe I’m being a tad dramatic, but it seriously feels like every single person is battling some sort of illness. I’m 100% second guessing my decision to not get a flu shot. It pains me to admit this, but maybe mothers do always know best!!

It’s a busy time of the year, so don’t get sick! If you begin losing your voice, ache all over, or become conjested, take some “me” time for a few days. Staying in may seem absolutely agonizing to you social butterflies out there (including me), but make it as relaxing and luxurious as you possibly can!! Whether you’re sick with the flu, a cold, or just trying to avoid all of the germs, here are some fun tips:

  1. Most importantly you MUST be comfy and warm, but it always makes you feel a little bit better if you at least look cute! So, for all you fashionistas out there, here are some chic yet cozy pjs from Nordstrom to sport while you crush the flu. 
  2. Obviously sitting at home all day can get so beyond boring. Instead of watching millions of snap stories and experiencing major FOMO, binge watch a new show or rewatch one of your faves on Netflix. Also, have any of you heard of retail therapy?? I promise online shopping will instantly make you feel SO much better!
  3. There’s nothing worse than lying in bed sick all day and feeling absolutely disgusting. What better way than to freshen up with a face mask?? Personally, I LOVE the Sephora sheet masks and Lush masks
  4. Being congested is incredibly miserable and seemingly impossible to shake. Head to Starbucks to pick up some hot tea or postmates some warm chicken noodle soup. Not only are they both yummy, but hopefully they will help clear your sinuses (fingers crossed)!!

I’m off to get my flu shot! I trust you can all defeat flu season!!!
