The two popular words in street style right now: BALLET. FLATS. You heard me!! These little babies are back and badder than ever (literally).

We originally know them to be associated with brands such as Ferragamo, Chanel and the ever-so classic Tory Burch Reva flat. My French Sole baby pink flats are still the most comfortable shoes I own. They’ve always been for the more polished, preppy look, but recently they’ve been getting a complete makeover. Designers that would usually never approach the subject of the ballet flat are taking on their own style, such as Valentino and Miu Miu.

Seen more on the streets for an everyday looks vs. the runway, these shoes are catching everyones attention. Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine wrote about the best way to wear the lace ups, and Chiara Ferragni from The Blonde Salad puts her own spin on the shoes with her Chiara Ferragni Collection.

They’re perfect because you can wear them with virtually ANYTHING! Dress them up with a cute skirt or dress them down with a pair of shorts and a casual tee. The options are endless.

If you have no idea where to begin with these new-and-improved little lovies, you should start here!–>
