Concealer…………. I don’t even know where to begin except to say this invention rests very close to my heart.
First of all, you should know you’re talking to a girl who actually kept her Bobbi Brown concealer compact in the depths of her sports bra right between her ta-tas to apply under her eyes during bathroom breaks in high school.
Honestly sad for myself because my consciousness for my appearance in college has no where near the stamina it used to. But also sad for myself because what FREAK keeps make-up in their undergarments??? Yeah… me.
In conclusion, I’ve been on a fierce investigation for the best concealers since middle school.
I’m just gonna come out and say this woman essentially raised me. Bobbi’s staples? The glossed lip, the cleanly lined lid, the pop of baby-doll blush on the apple of the cheek. Oh Bobbi, you’ve done so much for the pre-teens of America as they enter the realm of cosmetic womanhood.
Among her collection she features the “Dark Circles Emergency Kit”. The regimen includes 3 products – corrector, concealer, and setting powder. The corrector is an orange-y formula applied first to cancel out blue undertones from under-eye darkness. The concealer is step two with a brighter, lighter pigmented formula applied over the corrector. Step three is a swift pat of setting powder to lock everything in and prevent creases.
Bobbi’s technique has carried me many years, but after a while I got a little tired of re-supplying myself with all 3 products over and over again. But at the end of the day it’s a fool-proof way to color correct AND set for those who need the guidance.
A skinny little tube that packs a MEAN punch. If you don’t include this in your make-up ritual, I’d highly recommend keeping one in your purse for touch-ups. I’ve found a lot of tube concealers don’t always give the fullest coverage but this little number proved my perception very false. Its creamy formula blends like a dream, comes in a multitude of colors, and doesn’t crease or get oily under the eye. I love to use this at the very end of getting ready for a finishing touch of brightness before heading out the door.
I don’t know how passionate I can talk about a concealer without sounding borderline insane BUT ajsdfkjasdklfjsdf TRY THIS. It’s water-proof, lasts for days on your face if you wanted it to, and you only have to buy one like every 3 years because it’s so thick and comes in a jar that appears small but actually lasts forever. I hate being the person right now telling people to buy fifty-dollar concealer and maybe I need to re-evaluate my priorities but YOU GUYS. LIFE CHANGING.
