Kanye Bear is in the neighborhood…

Last weekend marks the close of the highly acclaimed Takashi Murakami, “The Octopus Eats its Own Leg” exhibit at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. The exhibit features work representing the evolution of the Japanese artist’s career, and does not disappoint. From the famous painting featured on the 2007 cover of Kanye West’s album, Graduation, to Murakami’s famous anime inspired superflat wide scale pieces this exhibit is pop culture heaven.

Murakami has entwined himself with the pop culture scene in recent years. Not only has he collaborating with Kanye, but also releasing notable collaborations with Louis Vuitton and Off White. These collections put him on the map in the luxury brand sphere and propelled him to become an icon of the fashion and pop culture world as we know it today.

The exhibit, unfortunately, is open until Sunday the 16th. If you were one of the lucky ones who got to go, we envy you. Pls post photos so we can act like we were there, too.
