Ladies, it’s time to face the facts: it’s mid-November, and our southern sun won’t last us much longer. Have no fear, though… Sol Sunless Tanning is here!
We all know one of the worst parts of winter is losing that summer glow, but with spray tans, you don’t have to! Lucky for us, Sol Sunless just opened a location in our very own Mockingbird Station! So, I thought I’d go try it out to give you gals the rundown before recruitment season starts.
To start– I love my tan! I went with a Mystic Level 3 with violet undertones (as advised by @theskinnyconfidential), and it was exactly what I wanted. Sol offers both booth and airbrush tans, but I’ve always preferred airbrush because I can’t risk any streaking. The staff was super friendly, and the location was very clean and close to home! In fact, the whole ordeal (including ubers) took me under an hour. All I had to do was sit for 6-8 hours in my room before rinsing– easy, I just put on a robe and turned on Law and Order SVU.
I know you might be thinking 6-8 hours is a long time to sit still, but that was 100% my choice. The tan was so evenly bronzed before rinsing, I wouldn’t have had a problem continuing on with my day out in public. It lasted me about a week before it started fading, and I’d say it was totally gone by the end of week two. Most importantly, though, it faded evenly!
A few tips:
- Shower, shave, and exfoliate
prior to your tan.
- Take care of anywax/nail
appointments prior to your tan.
- To get the most out of your tan, avoid exfoliation, and MOISTURIZE always!
