This past weekend, the internet’s most recognizable influencers and world-renowned brands met at Dallas’ glitzy Hotel Crescent in Uptown for the educational and networking conference of the year – rewardStyle’s 5th annual #rStheCon.
For those of you who don’t know, rewardStyle was founded by SMU alumni Amber Venz Box and Baxter Box as a solution to monetizing fashion blogs. Today, rewardStyle is exclusive to “top-tier digital style influencers” and provides the foundation necessary for influencers to produce “meaningful revenue.” In short, rewardStyle transformed creative outlets from hobbies to careers.
Exclusive in all the right ways, this invitation-only, global industry event puts influencers and brands from around the world under the same roof for three days – creating an atmosphere teeming with fashion-forward inspiration and innovation.
The weekend officially commenced on Thursday, April 20th, with a flower-filled welcome reception at the Hotel Crescent’s courtyard followed by a rooftop pool party hosted by Sole Society and a brand happy hour at Moxie’s. Friday brought the bulk of the event, complete with influencer education, the low-down on the LIKEtoKNOW.it platform, and speeches from the likes of Bumble’s founder and SMU alum, Whitney Wolfe. The night concluded with a courtyard cocktail party with Bumble BFF at the Crescent’s elegant atrium. LIKEtoKNOW.it getaway cars and dainty bikes provided chic transportation to and from the conference’s events. Jealous yet?
Saturday, the conference’s finale, called for a day of networking and a garden luncheon with Topshop. After a busy day of brand education and retail development came to a close, attendees dressed to the nines for the official LIKEtoKNOW.it App Launch Party at the Wyly Theater. To top off a beautiful night, a marching band escorted guests to the dance floor, complete with a LIKEtoKNOW.it photo booth.
