“Quality over quantity” is a phrase that I frequently find myself applying to my life with friends, school, etc. So, I took it upon myself to test if that phrase could apply to clothes, I tried to do the impossible: find quality clothing at a super low price, for those of us broke college students!
Who doesn’t love a good bargain? And if you say no, you’re lying to yourself…
I ordered a few items from the popular retailer Shein, which offers pretty much any clothing item you can think of at eyebrow-raising prices. I rated each item on a scale from 1-5, with 5 being the best, and would be comfortable wearing.
Surprisingly, the shipping was reliable and my items came within the week (about 4 business days). I ordered a range of items, most were just some trends I wasn’t willing to invest in. I was impressed with the overall quality of the items I received, and would definitely consider checking out Shein for anyone who needs a costume, trendy item, or simply has a budget to work with!

This sweater crop top is a steal at $10! The fit was great and the material was thick enough to keep me warm. Perfect to pair with a pair of skinny jeans and booties for a brunch with your friends!
I am OBSESSED with this two-piece set. It fits a bit big, so I had to size down, but it was affordable and perfect for the price. At $23, this set is perfect for hitting the boulevard with over the knee boots! I would definitely wear this set.
I purchased this set with Halloween in mind, it’s not the best quality but you could get a few wears out of it! The fit is good, and it would be perfect as a devil costume or firefighter. I could live without this in my closet, but it was $11 so I decided to keep it because it’s good for costumes/date dashes.
This blouse is a dead knock off of For Love & Lemons and fits pretty well. It is a bit see-through, but with a skin color bra, it would be fine. I would wear this once or twice, at $12 it’s hard to say that this is a bad deal for a trendy piece.
