Next Stop: Amalfi Coast

September 26, 2017 by

I got to spend the weekend in the happiest place on earth…Nope not Disneyland, somewhere even more magical – on the Amalfi Coast, Positano and Capri to be exact. Still stuffed with gelato and pasta, it was all worth it and I regret nothing.

Despite a few hiccups getting to the Naples airport, I finally made it last Thursday night with still 3 full days to look forward to. Our driver awaited us at the airport and drove us the 2 hours it took to get to our amazing villa in Positano where my friends and parents awaited my arrival. I woke up the next morning, bright and early, eager to look outside my balcony at one of the prettiest views I’ve ever seen. There I was, looking out at the Mediterranean Sea, just waiting for someone to pinch me.

Italy was definitely the place I was most excited to dress up in. With all the colorful buildings, you could wear anything and be guaranteed a cute Insta. In Capri, I wore a two piece gingham set from Zara that I couldn’t wait to wear with a cute straw hat. At night, any mini dress would do. I wore a really cute red star dress from Realisation Par (newest obsession) and also brought cute pieces from Reformation.

The first day we took a ferry to Capri, and got to spend the whole day exploring with a little bit of shopping in between (best shopping by far).  Then we got lunch at the most amazing sea side restaurant called “Torre Saracena” eating nothing but delicious pasta with a side of rosé. The views were so unreal I couldn’t help but smile the entire time.

We took the afternoon ferry home and got to relax a little by the pool before it was time for dinner. We first went to the oyster and champagne bar at Le Sirenuse then headed over to Hotel Eden Roc where we celebrated my 21st birthday!

On day two, we rented a boat and got to see all down the Amalfi with a pit stop for lunch at one of my favorite hidden spots, La Conca del Sogno, a little beach club you can only get to by boat with some of the clearest water. Of course, I got pesto gnocchi with mussels which was a party in my mouth. Unfortunately, my parents were off to Munich for Oktoberfest so my friends and I took the boat out for a little longer and got to go swimming.

For our last night in Positano, we managed to get a reservation at Le Sirenuse’s Michelin star restaurant, La Sponda. It was by far the best food I’ve ever had in my entire life. As if this trip could get any better, it just did. Two words. Truffle. Pasta. After my second birthday celebration, we went to the town’s only club called Music on the Rocks and it was so much fun celebrating!

Sunday morning, we all slept in and went down to the city center. We did a little shopping and ate pizza before we had to head back home to Barcelona. Still so surreal I get to call Barcelona my home. Anyways, while I was sitting on the plane, way too carbed out, I was looking back on the best weekend I had with my best friends and family and couldn’t be more grateful. If you ever get a chance to go to the Amalfi Coast, please do yourself a favor and you can thank me later.

Catch you guys on the flip side and stay tuned for my next Prost! 😉
