Braised Mushrooms with an egg on top. I wouldn’t mind a plate of these in my lunchbox everyday. These fresh fungi were packed with juicy, earthy flavors. Fried breadcrumbs should also be added to all mushrooms ever.
Shishito Peppers are always fun when you want to play Russian roulette with your tongue. Because there’s no way to tell from appearance which peppers are going to light up your life, tread carefully amongst these salty sweethearts.
Jamón ibérico is the delicious product of that ham leg I was drooling over earlier. Think prosciutto except quite a bit better. Much drier than its Italian cousin, jamón ibérico has a sweeter flavor imparted by the acorn fed hogs it’s harvested from. It’s still pretty difficult to find in the states, and is so worth the extra dollas – it will make you holla.
Ricotta and Honey, this was Sara’s favorite dish of the evening. I can only describe it as the perfect summer afternoon snack after a long day of sitting on the porch reading your new book sipping on lemonade. Pretty sure orange zest has never hurt anything ever either.
Sea Scallops with farro and mushrooms. This dish is crazy rich with deep mushroom flavors and fat, sweet scallops. Kind of like that pool full of gravy dream you won’t admit to having except way better.
This spinach and mushroom quiche was SO QUICHE (@Ja’mie). The fluffiest filling pinched between golden brown crust, this ish is legit yall.
We topped the night off with the dessert shooters – tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and lemon curd. The chocolate mousse was our overwhelming favorite, but probably because it tasted so delicious with the BOMB shaken espressos. Seriously. This drink is life changing.
