Last Minute Mother’s Day Plans

May 9, 2020 by

Mother’s Day snuck up on all of us this year. I mean, how is it already May? With delivery drivers overbooked, it might take a few weeks to get your ideal Mother’s Day gift. Here are some quick ways to make your Mother’s Day amazing, on a budget and on a time crunch.

Balloons

Run to your local Target or Walmart and pick up a couple of packs of balloons. You might need the help of a sibling, but you can blow up these balloons in a beautiful garland arrangement. If you are lucky enough to stumble across balloon tape at the store, this will be much easier for you. However, simply tying balloons to a string and hanging it across a doorway will look great. You can even get “MOM” balloons if you can find them.

Flowers

Grab two pretty bouquets of flowers that will match the balloons. One of the bouquets can be separated and weaved around the balloons. The other will go on a kitchen counter to tie together the rest of the display.

Food and Drinks

Get your mom’s favorite brunch food. I will be getting Dunkin Donuts for my mom. Make a cute “bar” of whatever beverage goes with your meal. I’m making a hot chocolate bar to go with our donuts. Put the goodies in little containers and print out a cute “hot chocolate bar” sign that you can put in a picture frame. If hot chocolate doesn’t sound good, then do a mimosa bar.

It is really as simple as that to make your mom’s day amazing. Just run out tonight and grab a few essentials and you are good to go 🙂 I hope everyone has a fun day celebrating their moms.

Xoxo,

Caroline
