I broke up with my college hoodie. Here’s why.
With its worn out letters and last night’s pizza stains, a college hoodie is the last article of clothing in your closet you give a sh*t about. This was exactly my predicament – a haul of neglected, and dirty, bookstore pullovers collecting dust in the corner of my apartment’s closet. My poor treatment of these sad investments made me cringe – SMU’s Barnes & Noble isn’t exactly a bargain. So, when I came across Hillflint, I knew where my school-spirited sentiments would now be satisfied.
Hillflint, a college apparel company, crafts luxurious university-themed knits meant to “outlive all those souvenir t-shirts.”
Hillflint’s take on the age-old university pullover is modern and with a vintage flair. Each sweater’s high-quality and lux feel translates effortlessly into any collegiate’s wardrobe. Since my royal blue knit arrived in the mail, I haven’t taken it off. And yes, despite our city’s current fatal temperatures, my new pullover has proven to be a key piece in my lounge wear.
Whether I wear it around the apartment, or throw it over a t-shirt and cutoffs in a frigid class, this pullover has proved versatile, and above all, really cute. Recognized by Town & Country and WWD, Hillflint is making school spirit a stylish and high quality affair.
Since its arrival, my Hillflint has served me well. I’ve now realized that when it comes to university gear, quality over quantity is definitely the way to go.
