If you’re like me and your friends are all headed to the spa today, and you want the same treatment without breaking the bank then I have a solution for you.

I have put together a list of remedies to soothe the soul and get you prepared for the last three weeks of school.

The first way I like to relax is with Detox Water.

Throughout the day it’s important to drink water, and by adding a few extra ingredients like raspberries. mint, lemon, or basil you can add flavor to your water and help hydrate your skin.

Next, you can make a Body Scrub from home. My favorite to make is a simple lemon and sugar body scrub.

You’ll need:

  • the juice of one lemon
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • tbsp olive oil
  • lemon zest
  • tsp vanilla

Mix all of the ingredients together, and use the scrub in the shower or bath to hydrate your skin, remove dead skin, and hydrate! You can also use it on your lips to help those babies stay plump and smooth.

Of course a DIY Spa Day wouldn’t be complete without a Bubble Bath. My favorite bubble bath solutions are the philosophy brand. They have so many flavors and are truly the best. For an added bonus, add a bath bomb from lush to help soothe your skin and enjoy the fun fizzy colors. I also always add a cup or so of Epsom Salt to my bath for added benefit.

Try a Face Mask while you soak in the tub. My favorite is the origins charcoal face mask, but use any that satisfies your needs. Urban Outfitters also offers a 2 for $5 mask deal and I love all of those.

Finally, for the finishing touches, a Hair Mask. This one is super simple. What I like to do is when my hair starts to get dirty, I apply coconut oil to my whole scalp and hair. Cover your head in it I’m serious. Once thoroughly applied, cover your hair in a shower cap and sleep in it overnight. When you wake up, shampoo and condition normally and your hair will be extremely hydrated, soft, and shiny.

The best way to enjoy all of these treatments is all at once! For those risk takers out there- pour a glass of rosé and watch your favorite flick in the bath.

Oh and light a candle too!

Relax & Enjoy, C.
