Dallas can feel like an embarrassment of riches when it comes to fun things for young adults to do, but a stand out gem is the Dallas Autumn Ball.
Dallas Autumn Ball, DAB, celebrates philanthropy and volunteer participation with an enchanting black-tie gala that brings young adults in the Dallas area together to celebrate giving back to our wonderful community. It is the premier charity event for young professionals engaged in worthy causes in Dallas. 100% of the proceeds from DAB are contributed to The North Texas Reading Partners. If you are looking to dance the night away and celebrate the Dallas community with other inspired young people, Dallas Autumn Ball is the perfect event!
Adam Kraus, founder of DAB says, “This is the 7th annual Dallas Autumn Ball. It’s an event I started in 2013 and the premise is really to engage young professionals to start getting involved in the community by making it philanthropic and fun. We throw the Dallas Autumn Ball to raise money and awareness for education in Dallas and we are so honored to support Reading Partners which assists kindergarten through fourth-graders in title nine schools throughout Dallas. Since 2013, we’ve been able to donate over 200,000 dollars to support education in Dallas and we look forward to having another successful year where we will be raising over 20,000 dollars to donate to reading partners.”
Reading Partners has been a part of the Dallas educational landscape since 2012 when it launched to served 80 students. Since then, Reading Partners, with the support of Dallas Autumn Ball, has placed thousands of community volunteers in low-income schools to help kids master basic reading skills. Reading Partners one-on-one tutoring empowers students to succeed in reading and in life by engaging community volunteers to provide each student with personalized attention.
This years’ ball was hosted by the fabulous Hotel ZaZa and featured entertainment by the renowned Emerald City Band and DJ Souljah! Delicious hors d’oeuvres were served and top-shelf drinks flowed. The event was a wild success. Attendee Alix Sommers shared, “ What a night. The hotel surroundings were lovely and the music was great. The best part was seeing so many young professionals celebrating community and philanthropic spirit.
