Call me your fairy godmother, because I just granted you information about the best new makeup line to hit the drugstore aisles, possibly EVER.
CYO Makeup is the new e.l.f Cosmetics, owned and sold only at Walgreens. It consists of face and eye makeup along with lip products, but with a twist, like the Cooling Bronzing Stick, the Ombre Lipstick and the Metallic Eye Sticks. It’s makeup on steroids, tbh.

The best part?? It’s good quality makeup for e.l.f cosmetics price!!!! YES! The Single Shimmer Eyeshadows are $3.50, the Contour Sticks are $5.50, and the Moisturizing Lipsticks are $4.o0. Unreal, right? It’s guilt-free beauty because it won’t break the bank.
When I saw the section in my local Walgreens while picking up my makeup wipes and floss, I went BIZERK and impulse bought a ton of products. Here are my thoughts and feelings-
This is like if the Benetint got an upgrade. It’s a light-weight gel-based stain that you can use on your lips and cheeks. I have the color BLANK, a dark, berry color that makes your cheeks look naturally flushed and your lips look like you just ate a popsicle! How cute! Plus, it has an awesome cherry-berry smell to it.
Rating: 3.5/5 gold stars (only because I truly never reach for it, it’s just good to have in case of a pool party or beach day).
Fangrrrrls & Lovey Dovey
I bought two of these: Lovey Dovey (bronze) and Fangrrrrls (steel gray). First off, the product itself in the package is SO COOL. It’s made into this like wave, 3D shape; super funky. Second, the color payoff is AWESOME, it definitely delivers and lives up to the hype. One layer is sheer, but two is a metallic dream. I could wear just this one eyeshadow on my eyes and it would look like I took time on my makeup. The bronze, also, looks really pretty with blue eyes. The gray is really fun for a big night going out on the town.
Rating: 5/5 gold stars!!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
Let’s consider this for a second, for $6.00 you get a blush, highlight and contour color all in one palette versus the NARS Orgasm and Laguna duo that retails for $42.00!!! And, might I say, the CYO version is a lot better. What’s fun about this is that the highlight and blush are a lightweight cream whereas the contour is powder. The blush and highlight are subtle, but give you a glow, and the contour is super pigmented and is perfect to shape your face.
Rating: 4/5 gold stars. I wish the blush and highlighter were more pigmented, but not complaining too much about this.
I grabbed this because I had just recently run out of my Benefit Porefessional Primer and was in desperate need. Why not? I’m not one to notice that my makeup stayed on all day or anything, but with this primer, it ACTUALLY did. I have oily skin too, and I swear it keeps shine from peaking through. I honestly, sometimes wear it sin foundation or any face makeup to smooth out my skin.
Rating: 5/5 gold stars. It hasn’t broken me out, keeps me matte, and for $5.00 at Walgreens, it’s pretty bomb.
In the Clouds & Lost in Space
This is another product I grabbed two of because I couldn’t choose which color I liked better! It was between Lost in Space or In the Clouds, both beautiful. Lost in Space is more gold whereas In the Clouds is pinker. These remind me a lot of the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips (remember when those were the “must-have”?) but SO MUCH BETTER. They’re meant to be highlighters, but why not use them as individual eyeshadows, too? They’re both so soft and pigmented, a little bit goes a LONNGGGG way.
Rating: 5/5 gold stars!!! If you were to get one thing from this whole brand, get these. You’ll thank me later.
As a brand, I would recommend it as a whole. You’re bound to find something you like, and for products less than $10 a piece (rare nowadays), you can’t go wrong.
Happy beauty shopping, loves!
