Celebrate Your Birthday: The Dallas Way

March 5, 2020 by

February was a busy birthday month for me: my birthday included. I learned some of the best ways to celebrate around Dallas that I cannot wait to share!

First, you need a dinner venue. The private room at Alice has a great ambiance, and you are in control of the music. I would call a month in advance for this room because it is becoming really popular. The Chelsea Corner garden room is another great choice.

Next, you need to decorate the dinner table. Decorating could be as simple as printing out place cards to spice up the place settings. Confetti, birthday buttons, candies, and flowers would also make fun little party favors, and pretty centerpieces. Don’t forget a crown and a sash for the birthday girl!

Naturally, you need to order a cake. My go-to cakes are from Goodie’s Cakery. The cakes are always flawless and super tasty. Dani from Goodie’s delivered the last cake I ordered directly to the restaurant. The servers light the candles and bring the cake out for dessert! Super simple, but really makes the whole meal.

No one wants to end their birthday night after dinner. You have to go out afterward, and if you are looking for a relaxed setting, Waterproof at the Statler is for you. Reserve a firepit, order a few bottles of champagne, and enjoy the Dallas skyline from the rooftop of the Statler.

Transportation between all of these places can also be fun. If you book a party bus for the night, you are guaranteed an amazing birthday.

But before the night begins, the birthday girl should already be having the best day. To make sure she feels special, decorate her room. Party City has all of your decorating needs. I purchased a happy birthday banner, individual balloons for each letter of her name, 15 other balloons, a banner that says yay, a glass jar, and pink lollipops to fill the jar. Get artsy and create your own balloon arc. Set the cute jar of lollipops next to a few gift bags, and you will definitely put a smile on the birthday girl’s face!

The best part is, all of this can be done under $200, depending on the presents you buy and the party bus fees. It will be a birthday that no one forgets!

Have fun celebrating!

XOXO,

Caroline
