About Nati Bru

Pint-sized Cuban, born and raised in the 305. If you don't know the area code, look it up. I spend my free time arguing over which Kanye album is his greatest work and which character from Game of Thrones should be brought back from the dead. I would rather stay in from a night out on the town if there's a promising SNL host. I am most likely seen with my hair up; if it's down, I'm having a rare, good hair day. Hoping to be on a TV screen near you. Stay tuned.

Austin City Limits: LINEUP GUIDE

September 23, 2014 by

Slide01

Austin City Limits music festival is one of the major festivals that takes place during music fest season. Besides its prime location of Austin, Texas, ACL is known for its eclectic variety of artists, food trucks, and overall experience it promotes. Most SMU students travel to Austin for the festival because it lands during our fall break; furthermore, if you haven’t made any fall break plans, YOU CAN’T GO WRONG WITH ACL! Tickets are reasonably priced and the artists that are playing are INCREDIBLE. Seriously though, if you are curious as to what you are missing out on or what ACL has to offer, just take a look and see (and listen) ;).

Stay tuned.

Music Mondays: BLVD Edition

September 15, 2014 by

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Boulevard

Why tailgate when you can boulevard? I would venture to say football season is the best time of the year. Yes, we are not the best on the field, but we tailgate like no other.

Because we have our first home game this Saturday, here are a few tracks you should listen to get pumped up, tailgate, and also expect to hear in some of the tents in front of Dallas Hall. SMUstyle will be on the boulevard taking pictures of the best dressed so make sure you look your absolute best!

HAPPY LISTENING AND SEE YOU ON THE BLVD!

Mondays just got a whole lot better! Slide1

Let’s face it. We all hate Mondays. If you like Mondays, you basically aren’t a real person or have an incredible outlook on life. To make your Monday a little more bearable/enjoyable, here are a few tracks you should be listening to this week. Happy Monday and happy listening!

Summer Tracks (Back to School Remix)

August 6, 2014 by

Many students dread their inevitable parting with summer and subsequent reunion with textbooks. Even so, I have always looked forward to the fall season as a refreshing and inspiring time for forming new perspectives, routines, and friendships. On that note, I have curated a playlist for SMU Style featuring some of my favorite tracks from this summer–an eclectic mix of songs that I hope will both prolong your summertime vibes and ease your transition back into school (or Boulevard season, if you insist). -SDT
