Looking for a new favorite blog? The Skinny Confidential is a goldmine for all things girl.
Lauryn Evarts Bosstick is, in my opinion, the baddest of the bad. This woman has achieved everything you could dream of doing… not to mention, her aesthetic is off-the-charts cool. She’s a real life Barbie with the work ethic of Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada. You can read more about Lauryn’s story here.
Because I could spend literally all day gushing over her (and her hot husband), I’m just going to give you the rundown on some of my favorite pieces she’s written!
Let’s start with my favorite topic– beauty!
Here, Lauryn recommends her 3 fave recent Sephora finds for Summer (including a Charlotte Tilbury product… love)!
Lauryn wrote this piece with her hair stylist, Shawn! Who better to look to for hair tips than someone who does it for a living?
For those of us on a budget (it’s college– who isn’t?)…
As much as Lauryn kills the beauty game and gives super awesome product recommendations, I think my favorite aspect of her blog is her focus on success. This girl is all about self-improvement. Here are some of my favorite pieces on growth:
- Because we’re all in need of internships… Job Interview Tips and Tricks
- One of the most important things in a relationship: Emotional Intelligence
- Something we all struggle with… Anxiety! Especially with school starting again, we could all use some tips to better manage it.
I could spend hours picking out articles for you guys, but I’ll leave you with these.
A few other things I want to touch on:
I really recommend you check out her Instagram. It’s the best way to stay on top of her content. Also, it’s incredibly aesthetically pleasing. Besides being a blogger, she and her husband, Michael, do a crazy good podcast. She really is a gal of all trades.
As much as I love Lauryn’s product recommendations and life hacks, the best thing about her blog is the realness! If you’re looking for honest content, you’ve found it. For example, she’s super open about the work she’s had done (and will answer any and all questions you have on it), and other personal things like her sex life and mental health.
I think what I’m getting at here is there’s no way for me to do The Skinny Confidential justice in one blog post! Ladies, do yourself a favor, and explore her page.
I hope your first couple weeks of winter have been lovely–
