My Not-So-Secret Engagement Ring Obsession

May 1, 2017 by

Just to preface this I am not encouraging ANYONE in college to get engaged…I just genuinely love engagement rings and weddings. TBH Addison and I spend an ungodly amount of time talking about weddings. We know other people have secret obsessions with the topic, and sure enough when we brought it up at our last meeting, everyone was so pumped about our wedding posts following Bridal Fashion Week. Go Green(ery)

April 18, 2017 by

As someone who has followed Pantone’s color forecasting for as long as I can remember, I have to admit I felt a bit disappointed when they announced the 2017 color last December. The yawn-inducing “Greenery” was something I really couldn’t see myself getting behind.  Continue Reading

Let’s Talk About Llamas

April 13, 2017 by

So this story goes back to circa 2008, to my glorious middle school days. Madewell had just opened and we thought it was trendy AF. It was my best friend Maria’s birthday, and I hadn’t had time to get her a present (idk I was a busy 13-year-old), so I told my mom to go to Madewell and get her a present before the big birthday bash that night. She picked out this super cute scarf, and then a LLAMA NECKLACE. I was like what the heck mom?! Why would you get her this random llama necklace? At this point, the only llama I knew of was the one at the horse barn by my soccer field and it was the opposite of adorable. Continue Reading

Cream Blush Crush

April 3, 2017 by

I’ve been loyal to NARS’ The Multiple for years, but Glossier’s recent launch of Cloud Paint, a “revolutionary” cream blush, has me itching to try something new. Especially with summer right around the corner! Continue Reading

Springtime Cleantime

March 30, 2017 by

We’ve all heard it before: Spring Cleaning. How it actually started, I have no idea. I would assume it goes hand-in-hand with “winterizing” your house up North. Who knows, but let’s all be honest with each other for a second. Your closet looks like sh*t right now because you haven’t reorganized since move-in day in August. And you just destroyed your jeans drawer looking for a pair of cutoffs buried at the very bottom. If this is you, Spring Cleaning is in order! I know it is hard to motivate yourself to do without your mother telling you, but you aren’t alone, just follow the steps below!

Just Wishing Net-a-Porter Was My Closet…

March 7, 2017 by

Whether or not you’re headed to one of the four locales below, I had fun making this dreamy packing list. While the majority of these items can actually make it to Dallas by Friday, fear not if you’ve already maxed out your pre-break spending. These looks can serve as packing inspo! Continue Reading

Spring Break Reading List

March 7, 2017 by

Yesterday at our meeting, the SMUstyle team got into a heated debated about whether or not Spring Break was a time to catch up on your reading list, or if it was a time rest your eyes from fine print. Since I got an iPad for Christmas, I’ve been reading more than ever, so I am pumped for a week of uninterrupted (virtual) page-flipping. Thankfully Emily agreed with me, and we made a list of our latest faves for you all to bring along.

Under-the-Radar NYFW Shows You Don’t Want to Miss

February 16, 2017 by

With bloggers sitting front row at every show, and the plethora of social media platforms, I sometimes feel like I see one show 800 times. Like why would I spend my time looking at the Michael Kors show when it was just literally everyone and their mother’s Instagram story???

I’ve clicked my way through Vogue Runway and compiled a list of shows worth checking out that I promise you haven’t seen 8 times this week. Continue Reading
