Hey SMUstyle readers!
I’m currently at New York Fashion Week — right now I’m actually blogging from my room at The Standard Hotel. I’ve been attending shows since Friday and wanted to share some of my snapshots from inside and outside the tents at Lincoln Center and the various off-site show locations.
Sorry about the resolution in these iPhone pics, if you are in search of more professional images from the shows I recommend looking here and here. I’m off to my next show, J. Mendel — if you’re interested in more to-the-minute coverage refer to my Twitter.
Where all the magic happens, well most of it. Lincoln Center, home of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
I took this from the seat of my very first show, Perry Ellis. The show started at 11 am on Friday, I got there on time, but little did I know the shows typically kicks-off at least half an hour late! So many people to seat and seats to fill! Perry Ellis was an amazing show, think all neutrals (charcoals, tans, olives and camels) in warm wools and twills.

I sat 2nd row here, but the shots are still a blur — the models move so fast and the lights are so bright! This collection was phenomenal, bright solid colors, quality fabrics and the cuts were baggy yet tailored. The designs were sophisticated, yet carefree and wearable. I would wear every piece!
