EMhilltopSMUstyle caught up with SMU’s Retail Club president and Chi Omega senior, Elyse Marriott.  Elyse and her retail club team are hosting the fashion show at the end of SMU Fashion Week this Friday evening!

1. Most recent purchase:

A Naven cut-out butterfly print dress & a pair of Schutz ‘Gil’ wedges

2. “Go-To” Look:

I’ll pair a high-low Emma & Sam quarter length t-shirt-in either black or creme-with jeans and a belt.  The shirts go with every color or print, so it’s an easy look to put together quickly that’s comfortable but still looks cute.

3. Restaurant Most Frequented:

The restaurant I frequent most would have to be Company Café.  Breakfast is my favorite meal so it’s nice to go somewhere and not feel guilty because everything is organic and the restaurant focuses on local produce.  Plus, there are two locations so I never have to worry about waiting for a table.

4. Three words to describe your style:

Fresh, flirty, and boho-prep

5. Can’t live without:

My brown, quilted Wilfred coat (Wilfred sold at Aritzia)

It’s the Holiday Season

December 10, 2012 by

Deck the halls and fetch the tree, ’tis Christmas season upon us.  Decorating for the holidays can be one of the most fun parts about it.  Check out these fresh ideas to make your humble abode a comfy, cozy one just in time for our very first snowfall in Dallas.

                             {No one can ever say no to Mistletoe.}      {Find a use for leftover tree trimmings.}

{Cozy up in front of an impromptu fire with candles & these mercury glass votives.}

   {ivory flowers + cranberry filled vase.}       {Center the bar using a wreath chandelier.}

{Use green moss to create a not so traditional wreath.}

*cheers*

April 7, 2012 by

Joey Arsenio, a junior from San Francisco, California expresses himself with a Ralph Lauren look twisted with a beachy surf style.  He covets the looks of Johnny Depp and follows in his adventurous footsteps by having gone off a bungy jump in Paris, France and also going skydiving.  Joey’s looks keep up with his social calendar around Dallas. For a good time, Joey frequents the Katy Trail Ice House, Nick and Sam’s Grill, Homebar, Rio Room, and Highland Park Village Theater for a more casual night.

Natalie Konstant

Natalie Konstant describes her style as versatile, edgy, and fun and with Sienna Miller as her fashion icon, she certainly has heads turning.  A sophomore from Chicago, Illinois, Natalie enjoys traveling and will be jetting off to Greece this summer to experience some of her Greek roots.  Around Dallas, Natalie can be found laying out at the Heights pool, shopping at Scoop in Highland Park Village, or grabbing sushi with friends at Steel.
