And just like that, another semester has whipped right by and left us spinning in the wind. To soothe our motion sickness and pump up our energy for the summer ahead, we zipped over to every Dallasite’s favorite airport, Dallas Love Field, and snapped some shots in our go-to summer travel getups.
The Dallas Farmers Market has been running downtown since 1941, and has undergone extensive revamping in the past few years. We popped by last weekend to see what all the fuss is about.
Last Saturday, Nati and I decided to do two things we both hate: being awake in the morning and working out. We dragged our half-asleep brains down to Deep Ellum to take part in Jade and Clover‘s weekly yoga series.
We all have those friends that would rather spend their Friday snuggled up in a nook somewhere with fluffy blankets, a warm drink, and some DANK literature. They can also be consistently difficult to shop for, those lovable language-minded loons. Consider this a list of things I want my friends to buy me this Christmas. You are appreciated, Word Nerds!
Family Weekend is upon us! Which usually means a lot of alcohol upon us, as well. Looking back, I have memories here and there of my dad’s frustrated face smashed in a crowd at Barley and my mother looking disdainfully upon the Coors light in her hand mid-Montaigne Club. So let’s be honest, your parents are not trying to turn up at Avenu or get down at Homebar this weekend. Spare them (and you) the embarrassment and bad alcohol and take them somewhere a little *swankier* to sip up some luxurious libations. And maybe let them pick up the tab, too.
