In the last few months alone Alexa Chung has stolen our hearts with her obsession-worthy app Villoid and her collab with AG Jeans. For those of us long-time Alexa lovers, we remember busting it from middle school to Madewell when her collection with them dropped back in the day. Her adorable and utterly authentic first book, It, is on our bedside table right now; and we have all rocked high-waisted shorts, tights, and ballet flats at one point over the last six years thanks to her.
Alexa’s newest foray, a video series with British Vogue, captures her quirky, genuine, and innovative personality in one of my favorite ways yet. Her adventure into the world of fashion is the perfect combination of fun and informative, and is a must-watch for those wanting to go into the field or those who are just curious to learn more about the always-changing cosmos that is the fashion industry.
We hear the inspirational stories of designers such as Olivier Rousteing, Christopher Kane, and Clare Waight Keller. Chung keeps it fun while discussing touchy topics such as feminism, body image, and diversity in the industry. Emerging fields such as fashion forecasting and fashion psychology are explored, and even the million-dollar question: “how do I get a job at Vogue?” is tackled in my favorite mini-documentary series yet.
As if we didn’t love you enough already, Alexa…
